Stinzine Art Contest Poster

This is a poster created for "Stinzine" a community publication for which I am a volunteer Graphic Designer. An art contest targeted to a 12-16 year old demographic, this poster is bright, bold and modern in order to attract this audience. The bold typeface and colours were chosen so this poster can be seen from a distance.

Recipe Cards - 2 Concepts



Band Poster - Three Concepts

This is a fictional electronica artist for whom I created three different concept posters. A custom "Nina Cool" typeface has been created. I chose this approach with the typeface, as I wanted it to represent this particular genre of music. Electronica consists of random sounds and textures coming together to create whole songs. Similarly, this typeface consists of random shapes and colours coming together to create whole letterforms.

Paris Poster

A typographic approach was taken with this poster. Red was used as an accent colour and inspires the romantic feeling associated with Paris. A combination of serif and sans-serif typefaces was used for visual interest; however was used sparingly to avoid confusion.

Custom Typeface - Winter Wonderland

Sample from the Winter Wonderland custom typeface. This was an exploration in how to use basic shapes to create letterforms.  A vibrant, holiday-inspired colour palette was used to evoke the fun and joyous feeling that comes with the holiday season.

Packaging Concept - Breaktime Chocolate Chip Cookies


Re-branding concept for Dare's Breatktime Chocolate Chips Cookies package. This design is meant to speak to an 18-35 year old demographic consisting of both men and women. This is a demographic that is tech savvy and current with social media trends. A typographic approach has been taken in order to stand out from the competitor and appeal to this young and hip audience. A QR code has been added to encourage shoppers to use their mobile devices to learn more about this product.

University of Toronto Engineering Handbook

This is a sample from the University of Toronto, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering handbook for which I was designer and editor. Contents included dates and deadlines as well as articles on how to succeed in this program.

Be Like Chachy Wordmark and T- Shirt

This is a concept for a brand that I chose to explore.  It is based on my dog Mouchacho (Chachy) and is more of a philosophy than anything else. It is a brand dedicated to enjoying life and using positivity to drive your decisions. A wordmark with a custom "Be Like Chachy" typeface has been created and used in various forms of merchandise. In this example, a t-shirt has been designed, and in the next slide, concept CD artwork has also been explored.

NLS Concept Brand Package

Brand package concept for company spcializing in monitoring software. 
This initiative was inspired in order to give this brand an updated look catered to its clients. With many of its clients in wind, water and solar industries, a fresh colour palette was created along with new layouts and modern typefaces.

Second Chance Designs Advertisement

This is an advertisement and branding standards guide that accompanies the Second Chance Designs stationary package. Stronger colours are used to catch the reader's eye, and close up shots of various pieces are displayed in order to also pique the reader's interest.
